Maieutical Labs creates "mastery-based" learning platforms. Once a goal is set, our software helps learners reach it gradually, providing exercises tailored to their responses.
We offer the ideal tool for the classroom: no more identical assignments for everyone, but shared goals with a system that helps those who are behind catch up. Teachers face no more endless stacks of papers to grade—instead, they have access to smart assessments.
Break it Down
We break down information into easily digestible pieces. The learner doesn’t advance to the next level until reaching proficiency in the current one.
Encourage Autonomy
The software adjusts the workload based on responses. This encourages learners to avoid random guesses, thereby raising their focus and improving their independence.
Reward Progress
Lessons are structured like a game. You learn by making mistakes and improve through practice. Within six months, error rates in the subject decrease by 30%.
Our Subjects
Given the Italian school system’s resistance to change, we are currently focusing on Italy. The subjects we cover are: Italian (grammar and literature), mathematics, Latin (grammar and literature), and Ancient Greek (grammar).
Our Results
Each month, we record: one and a half million new responses, 100,000 work sessions with an average duration of 25 minutes, and 20,000 active students. This year, six schools have replaced textbooks entirely with our software (a groundbreaking shift for the Italian market, even if it's just beginning).
Maieutical Labs was founded in 2011 as a supplier for educational publishers. In 2015, it pivoted to producing its first direct-to-market software, and in 2021, it received its first investment, enabling the development of MathX and, most notably, GeneratorX—a software that allows for the creation of exercise templates that generate a variety of exercises. Today, the company is ready to expand internationally.
